A Bit Out of Place

A bird’s nest sitting on a bench seems a bit out of place. Perhaps it was tossed to the ground by the wind.  Whoever placed it there, set up a nice photo op that I did not even have to touch.

Straight and Level

While in straight and level flight, a seagull seemed to stop for a brief and fleeting moment as it pushed against the wind.

On the Edge

Whether on the edge of a great height or the tip of a flimsy branch on a windy day, a bird as tiny as a goldfinch seems unperturbed.

Small but Feisty

Walking along the trail, I suddenly caught movement in the field of tall grass next to me.  I glanced over and spotted a small, but feisty finch looking right back at me.
