Early Bird Gets the Worm

Without a shadow of doubt, I am a morning person.  A very early morning person!  Of course, you all know that the early bird get the worm, right?

On this certain morning, I was walking along the streets of Dallas and soon realized that I was not alone.  Nope!  I stopped in my tracks when I spotted a northern mockingbird looking up at me as if asking, “Are you looking at me?

Are You Looking At Me?

Are You Looking At Me?

Not a shy songbird, the mockingbird picked up his breakfast once more and seemed to forget that I was even there.  That was fine by me.  I simply persisted in clicking my camera shutter.

Back in the midwest, I continue to be on the lookout for northern mockingbirds.  Thinking that I may have to head back to Texas to capture one again.

I’ve seen one or two here in Indiana. Maybe migrating? I’m an avid birwatcher/feeder/nut…Bob says” ya know when the Bible says He feeds the birds….He does it with the help of my wife.” Feed them all year long. Gets a bit expensive in winter months. I love it tho! ♡

Hi Cindy. I’ll have to keep looking for a mockingbird in Indiana. The Audubon Society website also said that they are in this part of the country but I’ve yet to see one here. I think it is time to put my feeders out again. Thanks for stopping by.

      Have a blessed week,
      Irene 🙂
