Walk Along the Lakeshore
On an early November morning, a hike along the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore seemed like the perfect way to start the day. The beach at Beverly Shores was where this adventure started.
With a gentle breeze blowing, Lake Michigan was unusually peaceful with barely a ripple along the beach.
It was soon easy to spot the Michigan City Lighthouse in the distance.
Enjoying the hike too much to turn around, I kept going until I found a path leading to the beach at Mount Baldy.
This is one of the most beautiful hikes along the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, even though it is almost three miles in one direction. Give yourself plenty of time if you decide to walk this path because you will definitely want to slow down and take in the scenery. Enjoy!
